Palatine’s St. Nectarios to celebrate annual Greek Fest June 24-26
St. Nectarios Greek Orthodox Church in Palatine hosts its annual Greek Fest June 24-26 rain or shine. The popular event has celebrated Greek culture for more than 30 years.
It features authentic food, pastries, wine and beer that cost $4 to $9. There’s also dancing, music, live performances, games, shopping, a $20,000 raffle prize and drive-through. Hours are 4 p.m. to midnight Friday and 3 p.m. to midnight Saturday and Sunday. Admission is $2 and free for children 12 and under.
On-site parking is limited, but a free shuttle runs most hours from Harper College’s west lot, Algonquin and Roselle roads, and Marion Jordan School, Palatine and Harrison Avenue. The fest is the largest fundraising event for the parish. For information, call (847) 359-5170 or visit stnectariosgoc.org.
