Milwaukee police bust dog-fighting operation
MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police say they have broken up a dog-fighting ring at a house on the city's north side.
WTMJ-TV reports police seized six pit bulls from the house. Authorities believe the dogs were training and fighting in the basement and garage.
Officer Dustin Frank with the Neighborhood Task Force says the dogs were removed for their own safety.
Inside the house police say they found dogs tied with chains around their necks. They also found antibiotics or steroids used to inject the dogs.
One man is in custody. Police say more people could face charges as the investigation continues.
