Tri-Cities Soccer offers meet, greet

Local high school players and parents are invited to join the new Tri-Cities Soccer Association coaches for an informational meet and greet Thursday, May 6, at Dick's Sporting Goods, 618 Commons Drive in the Geneva Commons.

Beginning at 7 p.m., there will be a brief reception followed by the introduction of new coach Vlatko Minic. Minic will talk about his playing and coaching experience within competitive soccer and discuss his vision for the 2010-11 high school programs.

The night will wrap up with a question-and-answer session.

Minic, a former college and professional player, will lead the 14- to 18-year-old premier teams (U-15-U-19) beginning in 2010.

All local high school players interested in playing club soccer are encouraged to attend including players from St. Charles North, St. Charles East, Geneva, Batavia, Rosary, Marmion, South Elgin, Aurora, Burlington, Bartlett, Larkin, Elgin, Kaneland and Streamwood high schools.

The first 20 people to arrive will receive a $10 gift certificate to Dick's Sporting Goods and coupons will be available for everyone. One attendee will receive a TCSA Premier sweatshirt.
