New salaries proposed for Lake board members

All Lake County Board members would earn $43,750 annually starting in December 2012 under a proposal unveiled Tuesday. That figure would be a pay decrease for most members but a pay raise for some because the board members don’t make the same salaries now. Most now earn $44,074 annually. Eight earn $40,945 a year. The chairman earns more. The board’s reapportionment committee proposed the salary changes. The county’s finance committee will discuss the matter Wednesday, June 8; the full board will vote June 14.
