Indian Trails hires search firm to help find new director

The Indian Trails Public Library District has hired Miriam Pollack + Associates to help in its search for a new library director.

The district will pay the Northbrook firm $14,000 for its services, as well as up to $4,000 in expenses.

The search comes after former director Tom Simiele abruptly resigned in April, just one day after district voters approved a tax-hike referendum. The results of that referendum are now being challenged in court.

Mike Madden is serving as the interim director.
