Express shut out 3-0
The Chicago Express was shut out 3-0 by the Cincinnati Cyclones at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati on Saturday night.
The Cyclones scored 8:53 into the first period. A slap shot from the point from Jeremy Klaver was deflected right in front of the net by Garrett Wilson to make it 1-0 lead.
The Cyclones doubled their lead late in the second period, when Chris Cahill finished off a 3-2 rush by wristing a shot just inside the left post. The Express struggled offensively in the second period, managing just 2 shots on goal.
Cincinnati added a final goal when David Leaderer scored an empty-netter from his own blue line.
