Palatine HS band’s respect appreciated
Hats off to the Palatine High School band for marching in this year’s Memorial Day parade in full band apparel.
In the past, while other bands have chosen to don T-shirts and gym shoes to avoid the 85-degree heat, Palatine’s band played military tunes, marched in sync and sweated through the event sporting tall hats, chin straps, braided jackets and long pants.
This show of respect did not go unnoticed on the parade route.
Thank you to the leadership of Palatine’s High School band for instilling in our young a sense of respect for U.S. veterans and those who lost their lives for this country. It was a moment that made all Palatine residents very proud and all members deserve a hearty salute.
