No sign of missing Indiana University student

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. — Relatives, friends and volunteers spent the weekend searching for a 20-year-old Indiana University student who police say was last seen walking alone back to her Bloomington apartment following a night of partying with friends.

Police say surveillance video shows that Lauren Spierer of Edgemont, N.Y., didn't arrive at her apartment building after leaving her friends a few blocks away about 4:30 a.m. Friday. The Herald-Times reports police officers and a search dog have gone through the area near the IU campus several times.

Spierer's parents arrived in Bloomington over the weekend and helped search nearby wooded areas, lakes and construction sites. Robert Spierer tells WRTV that they will resume searching on Monday.

Spierer's roommate, Hadar Tamir, says her friends feel clueless and helpless.
