Mayor to join in Frozen Food Shopping Spree to benefit local charity

Two-and-a-Half Minute Spree Will Help Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry

At 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 8, Naperville Mayor A. George Pradel will go on a two-and-a-half minute shopping spree through the frozen food section of Jewel-Osco, 2855 W. 95th Street, to benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry.

“In this economy, our local organizations need our help more than ever,” Mayor A. George Pradel said. “Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry fulfills a vital need in our community. I'm always excited to take part in frozen food shopping sprees to benefit this group, and I feel blessed to be able to help make a difference at the dinner tables of many.”

Loaves & Fishes Community Pantry has served the Naperville community since 1984 and provides food and other essentials to families in need each month and connects them with resources to improve their lives. The Midwest Frozen & Refrigerated Food Association organizes the shopping spree event as part of National Frozen Food Month and Jewel-Osco generously donates the food.
