Bicycle rodeo in Lindenhurst
Vista Health System will host its annual bicycle rodeo from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday, June 5. It’ll be at Vista Surgery Center and the new free-standing emergency center at 1050 Red Oak Lane in Lindenhurst. The event will feature a high-energy BMX stunt show, children’s bike obstacle course, free bicycle helmets for the first 100 kids, raffle for one boy’s and one girl’s bike, free refreshments and snacks, plus a variety of educational information on bike safety and general health care. The BMX stunt show will be at noon, with the obstacle course open throughout the event. Organizers said the event also is an opportunity for residents to tour Vista’s growing medical facility in Lindenhurst. The emergency center will be open to visitors, as will the adjacent Vista Surgery Center. Vista is near Grand Avenue and North Deep Lake Road.
