Investigation of Naperville slaying continues

Naperville police on Sunday continued to investigate the slaying of a 59-year-old woman found dead in her townhouse last week, an investigation that includes the search for the woman’s brother.

Police have said that the brother, 51-year-old Mark Lewis of Lakemoor, is a “person of interest” in the case. A warrant has been issued for Lewis’ arrest on a charge of identity theft.

Authorities said Lewis was last seen driving a green, 1999 Ford Explorer with a license plate reading 7758696.

The body of Cathleen Lewis was found in her Naperville townhouse Wednesday night after police were called there on a well-being check. An autopsy completed by the Will County coroner’s office revealed multiple injuries due to blunt head trauma.

Anyone with information is asked to call Naperville police at (630) 420-6147 or Crime Stoppers at (630) 420-6006.
