Who needs a sign to claim credit?
Where are the priorities? In a recent article in the paper, the project to beautify Main Street in West Dundee was discussed. The cost of the project was stated at $160,000. This was for building very nice flower boxes along both sides of the street. This project was funded with government funds.
As I travel around the area, I see signs saying that the various road projects were being funding by government funds. I wonder how much those signs cost and why they are needed.
When funding is being cut for various social service programs, school programs, health care, and other programs that are intended to serve our citizens who are in need, it seems to me, our political leaders have the wrong priorities.
