Arlington Hts. scholarships available for adults returning to workplace
Arlington Heights adults in need of financial help to return to the workforce by upgrading their skills or in need of re-training, can apply for the Mayor's Annual Community Scholarship, developed in cooperation with the Workforce Board of Northern Cook County.
As a result of a joint scholarship development campaign in the business community, the Village of Arlington Heights will award scholarships to qualified Arlington Heights residents to pursue educational training, upgrading, or retraining.
The deadline for submitting the scholarship application is 5 p.m. Friday, June 24 to Office of the Mayor, 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

Scholarship applications are also available at the Village Hall, the Arlington Heights Memorial Library, 500 N. Dunton Ave. or the Arlington Heights Park District Administration Office, 410 N. Arlington Heights Road.
Eligibility criteria include Arlington Heights residency, financial need, coursework that supports career goals and the selection of an approved Illinois educational institution. The scholarship can be applied to tuition, books, and any other commensurate educational expenses. A committee will review the applications and select scholarship winners.
