Palatine ham radio operators host demonstration weekend

The Palatine Emergency Management Agency’s ham radio operators will put on a demonstration from 1 p.m. to dusk Saturday, June 25, and from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at the Riemer Reservoir sledding hill, Wood Street and Quentin Road, Palatine.

The amateur radio operators will show how they provide voice communications and even historical Morse code communication in the event of a commercial power fails.
