Grayslake Heritage Center extends hours

The Grayslake Heritage Center will have extended hours on Wednesdays from through Oct. 5. The Heritage Center will be open from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesdays to coincide with the Grayslake farmers market. In addition, the museum’s annex has reopened and features a 1954 fire truck, kerosene wagon and horse-drawn hearse, as well as numerous tools, agricultural implements, gadgets and artifacts. The center is at 164 Hawley St. in downtown Grayslake west of Route 83.
