District 50 board picks leaders

Woodland Elementary District 50 board members picked their leadership team during a meeting last week, with each officer getting a two-year term. Lawrence Gregorash will return as board president. Board presidents traditionally lead discussion and become the main public voice of the elected officials. Mark Vondracek was selected as board vice president and Joan Morris as secretary. Board members also have agreed to hold regular meetings on the fourth Tuesday of each month, beginning July 26. The District 50 board’s next meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. May 26 at the Educational Support Center, 1105 N. Hunt Club Road, Gurnee.
