Non-believer sets example for all
Recently I read an article in Fence Post from a gentleman that chooses not to believe in the forthcoming religious holidays.
Clearly, his own choice. However, I applaud him for his respect toward all of our own beliefs. Be it Jewish, Catholic, Lutheran, Buddhist or any other religion we happen to be a part of.
Being raised in a very strict Catholic family, spending six of seven days a week in church as a child and still remaining a Catholic even if my own church denies me because I’ve been divorced is of my own doing.
In my opinion it really doesn’t matter what religion you are, in this person’s life, apparently none. What does matter however is being a good person which is all “Our God” wants.
We all don’t have to believe in exactly the same things to be on the same page.
If our entire planet had that viewpoint, war would be extinct, lives of our loved ones would be home, needless costs of war would disappear and, unless of course we faced another Hitler, all of our holidays would be happy and peaceful.
