Let's get our schools out of the 1900s

It is time that school districts in Illinois give a serious look at year-around school. The idea of summer vacation, where students are off for two months, is outdated and ineffective in promoting and retaining learning.

If we are serious about the education of our children, and want to compete with the education systems in other countries, we need to get our schools out of the 1900s.
