Kids can Read to Santa Paws Saturday
The Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 S. Municipal Drive, will host a variety of Holiday in the Grove events from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3.
“Read to Santa Paws” is a program helps kids boost their reading skills while reading to adorable dogs brought in by the Fox Valley Therapy Dog Club. The program will be held from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Story Time. The program is open to public; registration is required.
Oswego Presbyterian Church Bell Choir will perform winter and Holiday songs from 10 to 10:30 a.m. near the fireplace.
Drop by and create Wintery Crafts in the meeting room from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dance, sing and play with Amy Peters in the meeting room from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Peters, director of Brightest Stars Preschool, will lead a themed, musically stimulating lesson including instruments, songs, dance and props. Classes are 45 minutes each for two age groups. Ages 2 to 6 and kindergarten through third grade, at alternate times. Open to public; registration is required. Holiday Book Sale is will be held in the Book Nook Café. Pick up the perfect gift for your family and friends. Items for sale include books for 50 cents, magazine bundles for $1 and videos for $1 each. All proceeds benefit the Sugar Grove Library.
Cookie Decorating will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Book Nook Café. Decorate cookies for $2.
