Staats’ stats lift Benet to victory

Winning pitcher Allyson Staats (19-8) went 4-for-4 at the plate with a homer, double, 7 runs batted in and scored 3 runs to lead Benet past Fenwick 13-2 on Monday in Oak Park.

Nora McGuire also homered for Benet (21-9, 11-5 East Suburban Catholic), going 3-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and 2 runs scored.

Neuqua Valley 8, Waubonsie Valley 0:Jena Boudreau (9-8) threw a four-hitter, striking out eight, and Kat Widup went 3-for-4 with 2 RBI for the Wildcats (14-8, 9-7 Upstate Eight Valley). Brooke Meyer was 2-for-4 with an RBI and Amanda Mener 2-for-3.Glenbard West 3, Oak Park 1:Bri Wyatt slugged a solo homer in the sixth inning and scored 2 runs for the visiting Hilltoppers (21-6, 7-3 West Suburban Silver).
