Application available for Indian Trails Library appointment

The Indian Trails Public Library is accepting applications for an open seat on the library board of trustees.

The appointment will be made by the board.

Applications are available in the library’s business office or at the Ask Here/Reference Desk on the library’s first floor. Applications will be accepted through Monday, May 16.

The position is for the remainder of the current election cycle, until April 2013.

At that time, the applicant may run for a full four-year term.

Trustees set library policy and long-term goals, and are responsible for funding and expenditures. Trustees are expected to attend and participate in all library board workshops and meetings, which are generally held the first and third Wednesdays of every month.

Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, reside within the library district and be a registered voter.
