'This is Mundelein' photo contest begins May 1

The Mundelein Arts Commission again is hosting a photography contest for area shutterbugs.

This year's contest, "This is Mundelein," runs May 1 through Aug. 15, and is open to all who live or work in Lake County. The theme for the contest is "Sunsets and Sunrises over Mundelein."

Photographers and photo enthusiasts are encouraged to use their creativity to record the most beautiful or unusual images they can find. All images must be submitted in digital JPEG format.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top three photos and the winning photographs will be displayed at the Mundelein village hall. Visit www.mundelein.org/mac for contest rules and information.
