LivingWell getting new location in Geneva
LivingWell Cancer Resource Center Friday has announced plans to break ground on a new facility later this month.
The Center will build a larger home for itself at Williamsburg Avenue and State Street in Geneva.
LivingWell, at 1803 W. State St., in Geneva opened six years ago. It offers support services for cancer patients, cancer survivors and their friends and relatives. It has served more than 9,500 people, according to Center officials.
The new facility will be three times as large, at 15,000 square feet. Representatives from LivingWell could not be reached Friday for details regarding its new facility.
LivingWell is owned by Delnor/CDH Health System. If offers exercise and nutrition classes for patients, speakers on topics including legal matters, and support groups.
The Center is having a fundraising “Bridge Walk” from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday at Fabyan Forest Preserve, Route 31 north of Fabyan Parkway, Geneva.
