Gurnee’s Salad in the Park

Breakfast Exchange Club of Gurnee will hold its 23rd annual Salad in the Park fundraising luncheon from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 10. It’ll be at Viking Park’s dance hall, 4374 Old Grand Ave., with proceeds going toward local organizations that fight child abuse. Tickets are $6 and entitle patrons to salad, cream of broccoli or chicken soup, a roll and a drink. Salad in the Park tickets also will qualify visitors in a drawing for four tickets to a Cubs or White Sox game. Patrons may eat in the dance hall, outside in Viking Park or carry out.
