Palatine summer concert series lined up

The Palatine Park District Sounds of Summer and 4th Thursday concerts return with new music and variety entertainment plus some old favorites for the entire family.

All performances are free, so pack a picnic and pull up a lawn chair. Sounds of Summer concerts are at the Fred P. Hall Amphitheater, 262 E. Palatine Road, Palatine. 4th Thursday concerts are at Towne Square, Palatine Road at Smith Street.

Sounds of Summer: Performances begin at 8 p.m. and last about 90 minutes, except for the two lunch concerts at Towne Square, which begin at noon and go for an hour.

4th Thursday concerts start at 6:30 p.m. and last about an hour.

Performances are canceled in inclement weather.
