Villa Park man gets 10 years for child porn
A former Villa Park man who possessed approximately 22,000 images and 186 videos of child pornography was sentenced to 10 years in prison Monday.
FBI agents searched 61-year-old James Thielberg’s residence in January 2010 after three different undercover officers posing as Thielberg’s “friends” on a peer-to-peer network downloaded child pornography from his computer, according to prosecutors.
Thielberg has been in federal custody since January 2010 following the search of his residence. He must serve at least 85 percent of his 120-month sentence, prosecutors announced Monday.
Thielberg must pay each identified victim of child pornography whose images were stored on his computer or downloaded from his computer $5,000.
He also faces a lifetime of supervised release and restrictions on using computers and the Internet.
