Naperville teen charged in iPod robbery
A DuPage County judge set bail Tuesday at $50,000 for a Naperville high-schooler charged with robbing a man of an iPod at a skateboard park.
Corey Horton, 17, of the 1100 block of Iroquois Avenue, is accused of punching the 19-year-old victim in the face and making off with the $250 device about 7 p.m. Monday.
Prosecutors said the robbery at Naperville’s Centennial Beach Skate Park, 608 Sindt Court, was witnessed by several people who knew Horton and identified him to police.
At a bond hearing Tuesday, Assistant State’s Attorney Nick Catizone said Horton recently was expelled from a Naperville high school for possessing brass knuckles. He would have to post $5,000 to be released while his case is pending.
