Area angling heats up

Spring has finally shown its lovely face to anglers. Here’s what’s happening on the home waters:

Fox River: Good bass and panfish angling on the main river as well as channels downstream from the McHenry dam.

Fox Chain: Crappie and bluegill action excellent on Channel Lake, Lake Marie, and Bluff Lake.

Lake Michigan: Very good coho salmon activity out of Waukegan. The same holds true just at Montrose Harbor.

Credit denied: J.R. Robbins of the NRA Hunters Rights website reported Wednesday that Capital One has rejected a photo submitted by a New Jersey woman of her husband posed with a deer he killed last year, claiming it is #147;unacceptable#148; for use on one of its personalized credit cards. Lou Hinder has asked the NRA for an attorney referral to determine her legal options. What#146;s in your wallet?
