Gurnee Park District recognized
Gurnee Park District has received a certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. It’s the 13th consecutive year the park district has received the kudos for its comprehensive annual financial report. Officials said the certificate of achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. An individual award was approved for Michael Szpylman, the park district’s superintendent of business services.
