Pedestrian struck in Barrington
A pedestrian was injured in downtown Barrington Friday night after being struck by a vehicle, authorities said.
The collision happened around 6:45 p.m. just east of the train tracks at Main and Cook streets, according to Assistant Fire Chief Don Wenschhof III of the Barrington Fire Department.
The pedestrian was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with unspecified injuries, he said.
Police said Friday night no citations had been issued, and they were continuing to investigate.
