Boudreau shuts down Elgin
Jena Boudreau (4-2) struck out 12 in a 3-hit gem, and No. 11 Neuqua Valley bounced back from tough losses to Batavia and Geneva by beating No. 17 Elgin 5-1 on Wednesday.
Kat Widup was 2-for-4 with 2 runs batted in and a run scored, Leigh Nebendahl doubled and drove in a run and Sarah Gronowski had an RBI for Neuqua (5-2, 3-2 Upstate Eight Conference), which scored 4 runs in the top of the seventh to snap a 1-1 tie.
