Rockets guard Lowry bruises bone in right knee

HOUSTON -- Houston Rockets point guard Kyle Lowry will miss two preseason games after an MRI exam showed that he has a bone bruise in his right knee.

The 6-foot Lowry said Friday that he will sit out Houston's games this weekend, but will travel with the team when it leaves Sunday for a weeklong tour of China that includes two games against New Jersey.

Lowry played 24 minutes and had seven assists in Thursday's 90-87 win over San Antonio.
