Werfel, Jarvis and Waldenstrom clinch in Grayslake
Grayslake voters Tuesday opted to stay the course concerning their village board trustees.
With all 24 precincts reporting, unofficial totals showed Trustees Jeff Werfel, Ron Jarvis and Kevin Waldenstrom snagged enough votes to capture the three, 4-year seats.
Werfel led all candidates with 1,381 votes or 30 percent, Jarvis was second with 1,307 votes or 29 percent and Waldenstrom was third with 1,131 or 25 percent.
Quin O’Brien, a school bus driver and broker/owner of a home-based real-estate company, fell short for his second time in a village board election with 734 votes or 16 percent.
Jarvis, a telecommunications manager for the federal government, listed business development as his No. 1 campaign issue. He joined the village board in 2007.
The harmony present on the current board resonated with voters, Jarvis said.
“This board is working so well together I am happy we are going to have another four years,” he said. “We have had our differences of opinion, but we always seem to work things out.”
