Naperville sewer work to begin

Naperville will begin work in May on a sanitary sewer and manhole rehabilitation project along Raymond Drive from Ferry Road south to McDowell Road.

The project, being handled by Kenny Construction, is expected to last eight weeks.

The sewer being rehabbed helps move wastewater from Warrenville and northwest Naperville to a large pumping station on River Road.

Residents and businesses along Ferry Road, Raymond Drive, Diehl Road and McDowell Road may experience some temporary inconveniences during the work, including occasional 24-hour noise from installation and pumping equipment operations. Traffic interruptions also are possible, but city officials said no detours will be necessary.
