The high numbers: This was no work of art defensively, but the Bulls managed to outscore Toronto behind 36 points and 10 assists by Derrick Rose. The Raptors shot 62 percent in the second half using a quick lineup featuring Jerryd Bayless, DeMar DeRozan and Leandro Barbosa.

Block party weekend: In addition to his scoring, Rose added 3 impressive blocked shots. He soared above the rim to reject ex-teammate James Johnson and swatted Barbosa on a drive to end the game.

Friendly rival: Bayless and Rose became close friends years ago on the summer camp and AAU circuit. “He's a great player,” Bayless said. “I think he should be MVP and I can't speak highly enough about him.”
