Palatine police hitting ice to take on firefighters

It'll be the Palatine police vs. firefighters in a charity hockey game at 2 p.m. Saturday. The inaugural game will be at West Meadows Ice Arena, 3939 W. Winnetka Ave., Rolling Meadows. VIP tickets are $20 and include three drink tickets. Regular game tickets are $10. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the 100 Club of Chicago, which for 52 years has supported families of fallen first responders in Cook and Lake counties, providing benefits exceeding $10 million. Tickets will be available at the door.
