Dignity of Japanese an example for us
Simply put, the Japanese culture, unlike most of the so-called civilized world, takes great pride in respect and in dignity. It is ingrained in their children from day one. Sure, they have their problems with thugs and criminals like any other nation, but there is something different to behold in Japan. Pride and dignity are first and foremost.
Look to the aftermaths of Hurricane Katrina and the earthquakes in Haiti for recent examples of our shortcomings. We can learn from the Japanese only if we choose to do so. Their humility and respect speak volumes of a civil culture. Pray for all affected by this global tragedy and let us learn.
