Northwestern vs. Boston College

Northwestern (19-13) at Boston College (21-12)

When: 10 a.m. at Conte Forum

TV: ESPN

Radio: WGN 720-AM

The skinny: The Wildcats never have won two postseason games in the same season, so that bit of history is the first thing at stake in today’s NIT second-round game. The Wildcats are riding their best stretch since John Shurna (16.8 ppg) had two healthy ankles, but the Eagles have won five of their last six. Look for a high-scoring affair as both teams shoot well from 3-point range (BC at .382 and NU at .375) and neither team turns over the ball often. Point guard Reggie Jackson leads BC with 18.5 points, 4.5 assists and 4.4 rebounds per game. Six-foot-8, 232-pound senior Joe Trapani chips in 14.7 points and 7.0 rebounds.

Advancement: The winner gets the winner of Monday night’s Oklahoma State-Washington State game. They’ll likely play the quarterfinal Wednesday.
