Palatine band performs movie favorites

Palatine High School bands are teaming up with WGN-TV critic and entertainment reporter Dean Richards to present March Madness at the Movies at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in the school’s Altergott Auditorium.

The event will feature music from films such as “Raiders of the Lost Ark,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Jurassic Park,” “King Kong,” “South Pacific” and “The Lion King.”

Richards will emcee the entire program and narrate Peter and the Wolf with the school’s symphonic band. Admission is $2.00

The bands are under the direction of Raeleen Horn and Kyle Cauthorn, along with PHS percussion instructor Tom Gillman.
