Candidates will keep Stevenson strong

The April 5 school board election for Stevenson High School District 125 is of extreme importance to our community, and I implore each and everyone in the community to get out and vote. Because the future of District 125 depends on it,

I strongly support the slate of Bruce Lubin, Merv Roberts, Terry Moons, and David Weisberg.

Each of my three sons graduated from Stevenson and I could not have been happier with the education that they received. I think that Stevenson helped to them be well prepared for college and beyond. Stevenson provided them with excellent opportunities both academically and in the co-curricular activities they chose.

Bruce Lubin, Merv Roberts and Terry Moons are proven leaders that have led to undeniable academic prosperity for Stevenson High School. The most respected colleges and universities recognize Stevenson High School for its excellence. Additionally, educators and other visitors from around the globe come to visit the school to observe its methods. Public school finance is in itself a very complicated subject. This is particularly true at a time of expanded unfounded mandates from the state and federal government.

This slate has a strong understanding of the financing issues facing our district. They have exhibited cost-effective leadership in this regard without sacrificing the quality of our kids’ education. In fact, the statistics show that we have the lowest cost per pupil of our peer schools.

Please join me in supporting Lubin, Roberts, Moons and Weisberg with your votes on April 5. I believe we all owe it to the children of our community.
