Wheeling park board seats available

The Wheeling Park District will accept nominating petitions from Dec. 13 through 20 for one two-year and three four-year terms as park commissioner.

Any registered voter and resident of the district is eligible to hold the elected office. There is no financial remuneration for the position. The seats will be filled in the April 5, 2011 consolidated election. The park district board meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesdays of each month for regular meetings and for special meetings when necessary
