‘No Soup for You'
Inspired by that nasty, soup-denying “Soup Nazi” character from television's “Seinfeld,” Peppercorns restaurant in Carol Stream hosts its “No Soup for You” event. Chefs will prepare (from scratch) soups featured in the popular 1995 “Seinfeld” episode featuring the “Soup Nazi,” played by actor Larry Thomas. Soups include Kramer's Mulligatawny, Neuman's Jambalaya, George's Crab Bisque, Wild Mushroom and more. The event features free soup tastings and a “Seinfeld” trivia contest with prizes.

Something about ‘Harry'
Explore the inside of “Harry,” a life-size, 60-foot-long, inflatable humpback whale at a Humpback Whale Program at the Arlington Heights Memorial Library. Learn about the internal and external anatomy of humpbacks, along with their habits. And guests will be able to hear the humpback whale's famous “songs.”

Music at Marklund
The Youth Choir of Naperville Presbyterian Church presents its annual concert at Geneva's Marklund Hyde Center. Forty-five children, ranging in age from second graders to high school seniors, constitute the choir, which will present a contemporary worship service featuring gospel songs. The public is invited to attend. The Marklund facility supports those with special health care needs.

Friday Fish Fry
The Sons of the American Legion in Palatine invite the public to a Fish Fry Dinner. The event will raise funds for American Legion family charities. Dinner consists of fried pollock, soup, tater tots, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, bread and dessert. A full-service bar is available for drinks.
