Villa Park Recreation offers fun classes for children

The Villa Park Recreation Department is offering a new session of early childhood classes starting in January.

Children age 3-5 can participate in a variety of classes including:

Little Scientists which runs from 2-2:45 p.m. Jan. 5-Feb. 23. The kids will try exciting experiments each week which will be sure to wow them.

Little Chefs is offered Jan. 5-Feb. 23 at either 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. A new recipe will be made each week which the kids will enjoy at the end of class.

Show Biz Theatre meets from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Jan. 4-Feb. 22. The class will explore what it takes to be an actor, director and scene builder while developing the children's talents. The kids will put on a special performance the last day of class. The fee for all three of these classes is $39/$29 siblings.

Toddlers age 19-36 months will enjoy:

Exploring Toddler which allows the parent and child to have a great time moving, exploring colors and songs, reading stories and having gym time with other children in the class. Exploring Toddler meets from 9:15-10:15 a.m. Jan. 6-Feb. 24. The fee is $39/$29 siblings.

Indoor Play is offered from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Jan. 12-Feb. 9. Parents and tots will have lots of fun physical activity in this class.

Color Wheel will meet from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Jan. 11-Feb. 8. Parents will enjoy quality time with their child while the child learns their colors and creats an art masterpice each week. The fee is $29/$23 siblings
