Last chance for Girl Scout cookies
Girl Scout cookie booths are the final phase of Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois' cookie program. They allow people to buy Girl Scout cookies through direct sales to the public.
All eight varieties of Girl Scout Cookies will be on sale for $4 a box; Lemon Chalet Cremes, Trefoils, Do-Si-Dos, Samoas, Dulce de Leche, Thank U Berry Munch, Tagalongs and Thin Mints. Girls will be selling cookies at various times on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at cookie booths inside area locations. Visit girlscoutsni.org for a complete list of area locations.
A booth sale in St. Charles will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, March 28 at Walmart, 150 Smith Road. In Sycamore, booth sales will be Saturday, March 27 from noon to 2 p.m. at Jewel, 2201 Peace Road, and from 1 to 3 p.m. at Brown's, 403 E. State St.
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois thanks its community partners for making this year's cookie booths possible. Cookie booths provide the community with the opportunity to continue supporting Girl Scouts through cookie purchases.
If you haven't been approached by a Girl Scout and can't visit one of our cookie booths, e-mail cookies4you@girlscoutsni.org, and your cookie order will be passed on to a local Girl Scout.
Through the Girl Scout Cookie Program girls develop the five essential skills of goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills, and business ethics. Proceeds benefit troop activities and support Girl Scout programs including camp scholarships, volunteer training, membership assistance, and outreach programs.
Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois was established on Oct. 1, 2009, with the joining together of four area Girl Scout councils; Girl Scouts-Green Hills Council, Freeport, Girl Scouts-Fox Valley Council, Sugar Grove, Girl Scouts-Rock River Valley Council, Rockford, and Girl Scouts-Sybaquay Council, Elgin. GSNI builds courage, confidence, and character of over 22,000 girls served in 16 counties including Boone, Carroll, Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Jo Daviess, Kane, Kendall, Lake, LaSalle, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, Stephenson, Winnebago and Whiteside counties.
