Expert to talk about bullying, depression
The Des Plaines Elementary District 62 Foundation will host a discussion on bullying, cyberbullying, and teen depression on April 6 presented by John Halligan, an expert on those topics. The program will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Algonquin Middle School gymnasium, 767 E. Algonquin Road. Halligan's 13-year-old son Ryan committed suicide after experiencing intense bullying from his peers. His presentation will offer strategies and insights to empower parents, and preventive measures that parents can use. For more information, visit RyanPatrickHalligan.org.
