Obama’s ideology ignores reality
I am sure there are many brilliant things said in Ivy League faculty lounges as highly educated professors theorize on how a perfect world or country should be run. Turns out, as in many cases, theory and reality do not match up, as theory never includes the messy complications that arise when millions of humans become part of the formula. Free health care, free college and living wages for all sound good until the part about paying for it enters the beautifully presented picture.
I’m sure our president was one of the more impressive people in the faculty lounge, as when his true colors show themselves it is clear where his ideology is based. Unfortunately for him and his ardent followers, his basic tax-and-spend policies do not match up with the economic realities of today. Add to this flawed political direction the fact that our president received his training in the state of Illinois and the city of Chicago. So between pontificating on his unrealistic views comes the underlying current of using cash flow along with pandering to dependents and special interests all designed to stay in office.
In a silver lining kind of way, perhaps this economic downturn can serve a purpose. In good times it is easy for Americans to let things slide, but when things are like they are now, much more is going to be noticed. The flawed ideology is bad enough, but I am thinking the way political “business” is being conducted is likely approaching criminal status. America is in a big hole, it is time to stop digging. November 2012 can’t come soon enough.
