Lake Zurich board to vote on Chipotle restaurant

Lake Zurich village board members are expected to vote during their Dec. 4 meeting on a proposal to build a Chipotle restaurant at 442 South Rand Road.

The plan calls for a 2,370-square-foot building to be constructed on land currently used as parking on the southeast corner of Rand Road and Route 22. The restaurant will have a drive-through lane.

The item was before the board at its Nov. 20 meeting. But trustees decided to delay their vote until village staff and the petitioner, Terraco Inc., could make a plan to ensure the project includes a sidewalk or similar amenity.
