Ron Santo services

The Santo family and the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday released further information regarding visitation and funeral arrangements for Ron Santo.

Fans who are not able to attend the service at Holy Name Cathedral are invited to view the funeral procession outside Wrigley Field at noon Central time Friday.

The public visitation will occur from 4-11 p.m. Thursday. Because the Cathedral must close its doors by midnight, fans are asked to be in line by 11 p.m. to ensure they will be allowed entrance.

The line for fans will begin on State Street and head north toward Chicago Avenue. Fans will be entering the church through the main State Street entrance and exiting through the Superior Street side of the Cathedral.

Friday's funeral service will commence at 10 a.m. and will include eulogies by Cubs chairman Tom Ricketts, Commissioner Bud Selig and WGN Radio's Pat Hughes.

Following the services at Holy Name Cathedral on Friday, the funeral procession will embark on a route toward Wrigley Field.

The procession will leave Holy Name Cathedral and drive north on State Street, east on Chicago Street, south on Michigan Avenue, turn around in front of Wrigley Building before pausing in front of WGN Radio (Tribune Tower), north on Michigan Avenue to inner Lake Shore Drive, west on Division Street, north on LaSalle Drive, north on Clark Street, north on Sheffield Street, west on Addison Street followed by a lap around Wrigley Field.
