Vehicle sticker price hike is unwarranted
I'm peeved. When did it become OK to jack up the cost of a Prospect Heights vehicle sticker from $35 in 2009 to $70 in 2010 - and that doesn't even include the extra $1 you must add to your payment to cover "postage and handling"?
It's insulting. Bad enough that the cost has doubled but to tack on a dollar to cover the cost of a stamp and a return envelope is ridiculous. A $5 or $10 increase wouldn't have sufficed? A 100 percent increase in today's economic climate is cruel and thoughtless.
Is there a limit to what sticker will cost us in the future? Are you trying to drive people out of town or just discourage them not to buy a sticker at all? Did I mention that I'm peeved?
