Batavia Park District offers two Easter events
Spring is finally in the air, and the Batavia Park District is celebrating with two new Easter events.
All ages are invited to Dessert with the Easter Bunny from 6 to 7:15 p.m. Friday, March 19, at the Rotolo Middle School, 1501 S. Raddant Road. Enjoy brownies and ice cream and a visit with the Easter Bunny. The cost is $5 for residents, $6 for Batavia nonresidents and $7 for nonresidents, free for children younger than 1. Registration is required.
After you've satisfied your sweet tooth, hop on over to Prairie Path Park for the first-ever Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt. The group will meet at the pavilion at 7:15 p.m. Kids ages 2-8 will be divided into age groups and taken to their designated areas. Children ages 2-4 need to be escorted by an adult. The hunt will begin promptly at 7:30 p.m. Don't forget a basket for all your goodies, and of course, a flashlight.
This event is free, but participants are asked to bring a nonperishable food item or paper product to be donated to the Batavia Food Pantry.
